BRITISH HAPKIDO CHAMPIONSHIPS 2005

Shildon Hapkido Club took part in the 1^st National Hapkido Championships held in Teesside University on Saturday 5^th March 2005, taking part in various categories of the Korean Martial Art. They boast of taking away 7 medals. Lauren Wright aged 10 earned first place and Amy Clarke aged 10 earned third place in Attacking and Self Defence. John Gittins aged 15 earned second place and Karl Warford aged 20 earned third place in Break Falling. John Gittins also took second place in Kicking. James Laidlow(instructor) took second place in Punch and Kick Defence.

The team of 10 also earned third place for team self defence, James laidlow, Karl Warford, John Gittings, Dave Toms, Graig Chappel aged 13, Sam Wilson aged 13, Chris Clarke, Anthony Wade aged 13, Lauren Wright and Amy Clarke.
